The Labor History Resource Project (LHRP) is a collaborative effort rooted in labor and working-class history, uniting scholars, labor studies and labor relations specialists, activists, and supporters.
It aims to preserve, make accessible, and highlight the stories, voices, images, and materials of working people and their movements — from the era of slavery and colonialism to today.
Key Focus Areas
Led UX strategy, UI design, and full WordPress development for the Labor History Resource Project (LHRP), creating an accessible, research-driven platform for labor scholars, educators, and organizers.
Designed and developed the When Teachers Mobilize subsite, providing cohesive UX/UI and information architecture tailored for extensive archival content and narrative storytelling.
Worked closely with labor historians from Duke University, Columbia University, Georgetown University, MIT, and other institutions to turn complex historical material into an engaging, user-friendly digital experience.
Built a comprehensive archival system with over 400 curated resources, including oral histories, audio recordings, video interviews, historical documents, PDFs, and thematic learning pages, organized for easy discovery and educational use.
Achieved a Siteimprove 98.8 WCAG AA accessibility score after a thorough five-month accessibility development project, guaranteeing inclusive access for diverse audiences on all devices and content types.
